Fund Raiser Information

A little history... Amy, our shipping manager, is heavily involved in Relay for Life. Her team (Walking with Wings) worked at the Scootworks Spring Open House in 2005. All of the funds raised at that event went to Relay for Life. There were people everywhere! The bike show and charity ride was a big hit. There were silent auctions, food sales, raffles of all sorts, and thousands of $$ of prizes given away to visitors. Additionally, donations were taken via our telephone sales and retail sales teams at the store.

Scootworks offered free shipping to anyone who  had an order under $200 and wanted to make up the difference by pledging donations to Relay for Life. The 'Walking with Wings' team raised $11,206, the Eastern Wake Relay (the 'Walking with Wings' team is a subset of) raised 113,760. This brought the total raised in Wake County up to $767.637. The Scootworks Spring Open House fundraiser was the single largest Relay for Life fundraiser in Wake County, and won the Relay for  Life Trophy for 2005 for the "Walking with Wings" team!

 This will be a great time to bring the family out and join in the festivities and support a great cause in helping with the fight against cancer. "Relay for Life" team members will be here, handing out information packets and brochures.
