Chrome Exchange & Rotor Polishing - Scootworks
has been building a chrome exchange program over the last few years. As with any exchange
program, our inventories vary wildly, depending on how many parts are being swapped at
any given time. We have continued to add OEM parts to our lineup, to provide our customers
with the ability to get certain items in chrome that are otherwise unavailable. Unlike many
of our competitors, we are a REAL SHOP and install many of these parts in house. Our techs are
familiar with fitment, and can assist with questions about installation of these parts.
In the pic to the right, you'll see some of our other cool items like chrome rear
differential housings, and chrome plated METAL inner engine covers for Kawasaki engines.
You'll also notice some of our polished (not chrome!) brake rotors, as chrome brake rotors
are for show only and don't last. Our polished stainless steel rotors look like chrome, but
don't peel or chip like chrome.
While we have loads of these goodies in stock, we don't have them as a direct purchase item
on the website due to the constant inventory changes. For several years, we only offered
this service to our walk-in customers, but we've been having a growing demand for this from
riders all over the world. Below is a rough list of our exchange prices (less the deposit
you must pay until your old parts are returned), so you can see what our pricing is on these

Notes on Chrome Exchange -
- Master Cylinders: Our master cylinders are supplied without internals, unless otherwise
purchased from our staff as assembled units. You must remove your original piston, seal, etc,
and place into the chromed units from us. We can supply them assembled, or you can send us you part
first, and we can make the swap here in our shop for a small fee.
- Switch Heads: Our switch hears are original factory units that have been chromed. You must
install your switches, as these do not come with the switches and/or wiring. Be sure to clean and/or tap
chrome from all small screw holes before assembly.
- Differential Housings: These are supplied as housings only, no internals. You must install
your internals. You can also send your differential to us for our in-house install, for a small
fee.
