Shipping Information

Shipping to the United States

Regular Shipments

FREE SHIPPING: Shipping is free for orders of $ 199.99 or greater to locations in the continental U.S.A., including APO and FPO addresses. (Oversize packages including some exhaust systems, seats, trunks and handlebars are not included) Shipping costs will be deducted from your order before shipping. Free shipping is made by DHL, UPS ground, FedEx, or US Postal Service, at Scootworks discretion. Handling fees may apply. Expedited shipping (next day air, 2nd day air, etc.) not included. Contact Scootworks for more information regarding these type of services.

Regular Shipping Service: Scootworks utilizes FedEx as our main shipper, however we may utilize DHL, UPS, or the U.S. Postal Service as well. Orders shipped to Alaska and Hawaii may also be shipped by FedEx, UPS, DHL, or US Postal Service at our discretion.

Scootworks will ship orders once payment for the order has been made by credit card, check or money order. Scootworks is required to collect state sales tax on orders shipped to addresses within North Carolina.

Scootworks ships product from it's Zebulon warehouse location, Tuesday through Friday. We will contact you if any significant delays are incurred.

Expedited Shipments

Any requests for shipping via Next Day Air, 2nd Day Air, or other expedited service may be available on some stock items. Requests for expedited shipping will be handled on a case by case basis, and those fees must be paid by the customer.

Please use the comments section of our order form to request special shipping when placing your order, or ask your sales representative.

Shipping to all other Locations (International)

Regular Shipments

Scootworks does ship to international addresses. We ship our products to most countries, worldwide.

Due to an alarming increase in international credit card fraud, we prefer PayPal for these transactions. It's simple, free, and safer for both parties. If you must us a credit card to pay for international purchases, it will be bank tested to insure matching Identity with billing address. We can also accept bank wire transfer for payment, simply include this request in the comments section of your order.

To use Paypal, select the Paypal box on the order form to pay through your Paypal account. Paypal is a free service available to anyone. Go to www.paypal.com to open an account.

International shipping destinations are made via  U.S. Mail, FedEx, UPS, or DHL...depending on best rates or customer requirements. We can not ship via the U.S. Postal Service to some international locations, due to cost, size, inability to insure and/or track, etc. This is handled by our shipping department on an order by order basis.

Scootworks will contact you after your international order is placed, and you will be given the shipping costs for the methods available from our locale to yours. Our international shipping service includes all required customs documentation, shipping fees, insurance, and handling fees. The customer must authorize those fees before the order will be filled.

Orders of large monetary amounts may be required to be pre-paid by cashiers check, money order or wire transfer at Scootworks discretion. 

International customers are not required to pay any U.S. taxes or duties. The customer is responsible for paying any associated customs fees,  value added taxes (VAT) or other duties or fees that may be imposed by the destination country. These fees vary from country to country, so you should contact your local authorities to determine the associated costs. Please do not ask us to mark the items you purchase as a gift or present, warranty item (if it is not), or lower value on the customs declaration forms to avoid paying duties. Customers constantly ask for us to be less than honest in this area, and Scootworks will not participate in this illegal activity.

Any requests for shipping via UPS Next Day Air, 2nd Day Air, or other expedited service may be available on some items. Requests for expedited shipping will be handled on a case by case basis, and those fees must be paid by the customer.  


Shipping Costs

While we take care to ensure that our shipping costs are correctly calculated by our automated on-line shopping cart, we find that shipping costs are occasionally under-priced or over-priced on an order. If that occurs, we will adjust the shipping cost of that order to accurately reflect the correct shipping costs plus handling fees. Scootworks makes, and you receive no guarantee that the shipping cost calculated on our shopping cart is 100% correct. We reserve the right to correct the shipping cost if incorrect, and pass that price change to the customer.
