Although this is a very simple product to install,
Scootworks wanted to make the process as simple as possible. Please read these tips before unwrapping your new mirror dash panel.
Begin installation...
Remove the
original aluminum dash panel by using the edge of a small thin screwdriver, single edge razor blade,
X-acto blade or similar sharp tool. Pry the edge of the original dash panel up, and peel it off. It is a
very soft metal and is easy to remove.
Remove the wax paper from you new dash panel. DO NOT
cut with a blade, peel this with your fingers! The wax paper protects the adhesive strips on
the backside of your new mirror dash panel.
Remove the clear protective film from the
front of your new dash penel. Ignor the adhesive residue left from the protective cover at this time.
Press the new dash panel into your speedometer nacelle,
making sure to press it down around the lights and that all area are pressed into position.
This panel is stell, and won't bend as easily as the original part, so don't worry about that!
Use alcohol to wipe the
residue left from the protective coating from the face of your dash panel. Polish with a
non-abrasive polish/wax, and enjoy the new sparkle on your speedometer nacelle not found from any other
accessory!
*** NOTES
FOR CLEANING AND CARE
Cleaning this Mirror Dash Panel
is an easy chore. Simply wash it with soap and water, wax it with
automotive wax. DO NOT use cleaners or waxes with abrasives or cleaning agents, and never use
any type of buffing or polishing compound. A good coat of automotive wax will keep it
looking beautiful, and
minimize the polishing required.
