A Shortened Windshield for my Vulcan

[Debbie's Vulcan pic]

[bullet] Here's an early picture (sometime around May of '99) of my F&S shorty windshield. It looks nice on the bike, and matches the angle of the front forks. It really keeps the wind pressure off of my body, and greatly eliminates riding fatigue. After riding with a windshield, I'll never ride without one again! With the stock and Mustang saddles, it was about the right height for me.

[bullet] Here's a picture my windshield after it was shortened. With my new Corbin saddle, the top edge of the windshield was in my field of vision (the Corbin pushed me a little deeper into the frame). As with most non-optical glass windshields, one is supposed to look OVER the top edge of the shield, not THROUGH it. Tweek masked off the top of the shield, drew a new curve with the correct contour, and used his dremel tool and cut-off wheel to reduce the height of the shield to the correct location for me. Now, it fits my size perfectly! Check out the windshields, hand deflectors, and windshield lowers on Scootworks Windshield Page.
