The RDRC Fly-For-Tots
has come and gone for 2009...but not without setting even more records than ever before. The event had 229 registered
pilots, hundreds of aircraft of all types, demos by the biggest names in the industry,
night flying and cookout, loads of food, vendors on site, and much more. Best of all, the
2009 FFT raised $27,150 for the Victory Junction Camp charity!! Thanks
to the media publicity by Flying Giants / WRAL-TV / News & Observer /
FlyForTots.com / RD-RC.org, our gracious sponsors,
the demo pilots who gave their time, live event coverage from RDRC.TV, a mall show provided by North Hills
Mall, and most of all... YOU, it was a screaming sucess. Check out the links
to our sponsors, pilots, and media in the

Raleigh Durham R/C is one of the oldest
clubs in NC, having been in existence since 1962. RDRC is AMA Chartered Club #733, and IMAA Charter
#724. The members of RDRC have a wide range of interests including Giant Scale, Sport Scale,
Sail Planes, Electric Flight, Helicopters, and Sport Flying. We welcome beginners as well as
experienced modelers.
Our flying field is located north of Rolesville NC,just off hiway 401. We have 2 runways, one paved and the other is closely cut grass. The field is open with clear approaches making it excellent for beginners. We are located in a rural area, far from housing developments.
Our club is chartered as club #733 by the Academy of Model Aeronautics
(AMA) which is the national sanctioning body for Model Aviation in the U.S. They are also the insurance provider for Model Aviators across the U.S.
The purpose of our club is to have fun! Therefore, we have a minimum of rules and regulations. Those that we do have are intended to promote safety, and to ensure consideration for each other and for our neighbors. There's always action on pretty Sunday afternoons, many Saturdays, and often on nice summer evenings. the only restriction is on the field is NO FLYING BEFORE 9 AM ANY DAY OF THE WEEK and keep from flying over people on the road around to field, this is to keep our non-RC freinds surrounding the field happy. We ask if you damage some of the crops in the surrounding fields, report it as soon as possible.
